Crystal Palace FC shirt auction raises £11,688

Crystal Palace FC players and supporters have helped to raise an incredible £11,688 following a match-worn shirt auction following the club’s game against Liverpool FC in January. Donations will support the Power of Play appeal.

Bidders included global fans from countries such as America, China, Indonesia, Greece and Hong Kong.

Palace captain Luka Milivojević said on behalf of the team: “As a team we were really proud to be able to support Croydon’s Power of Play appeal. Many of us are parents ourselves, and we know when a child is sick it’s the small things that can help take their mind off feeling unwell.”

Elaine Clancy, Chief Nurse at Croydon Health Services NHS Trust said: “We’re incredibly grateful to Crystal Palace FC and all of the players for their generosity. I know that many of our staff and our patients are avid Palace fans, so we’re all very excited by this final total raised through this shirt auction.”
